Ms. Nessler earned her Juris Doctor with a concentration in criminal litigation from Capital University Law School in 2009. She was admitted to practice in Ohio that same year.
While earning her law degree, Ms. Nessler was a member and later an Associate Editor of the Capital University Law Review. Ms. Nessler was also a Teaching Assistant for the Legal Research and Writing Department at Capital University Law School in 2007 and 2008. During her final year at Capital, Ms. Nessler served as a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Edmund A. Sargus, Jr. of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
After being admitted to practice in Ohio, Ms. Nessler practiced at a plaintiff’s civil litigation firm in Columbus, Ohio. From 2011 to 2015, Ms. Nessler worked as a Staff Attorney for the Twelfth District Court of Appeals for the State of Ohio.
In June 2015, Ms. Nessler joined the Hamilton County Public Defender’s Office. She is the attorney primarily responsible for appellate matters arising within the Juvenile Division.
