In law school, Silvia worked as a law clerk at the Children’s Law Center from 2015-2017. During this time, Silvia worked on a variety of different areas, including Guardian ad Litem work. She also interned in the Juvenile Division of the Public Defender Office in 2016.
Silvia is a 2017 graduate of the University of Cincinnati College of Law. She was admitted to practice law that same year.
After graduating from the University of Cincinnati College of Law in 2017, Silvia worked as a Staff Attorney at the Children’s Law Center, helping to remove legal barriers to education, employment, and housing for children exiting the juvenile justice system.
Silvia joined the Hamilton County Public Defender as a member of the Guardian ad Litem Division in June of 2018. Silvia is qualified under Rule 48 of the Ohio Supreme Court’s Rules of Superintendence to serve as a Guardian ad Litem. Silvia also serves as a parent surrogate for children on her caseload who receive special education services.
